What Studora collects, why, and how we protect it — short and in plain language. The same for students and organizations.
1. What we collect
- Account: first and last name, email, username and password (stored encrypted).
- Profile: education, major, skills, experience, links and photo — as much as you choose to add.
- Activity: applications, saved items, Wallet coupons, Community and Project posts, mentor meetings and Contact messages.
- Payments: only the card type and last 4 digits. The bank processes the card number and CVV — Studora never sees them.
2. Why we use it
To run your account, suggest opportunities and a roadmap that fit you, handle applications, subscription and payments, protect against fake listings and abuse, and send you important notifications.
3. Who sees your data
- In Community your first and last name, major and university are visible to all users. You choose which sections your public profile shows; your phone, email and date of birth are never shown there.
- The sections you make public on your profile can be seen by anyone, including organizations. Your application details are seen by an organization only when you apply to its listing or submit work to its challenge.
- To run the site we use trusted services — hosting, an AI service, the payment bank and an email service. They process data only to run Studora.
- We don’t sell your data or give it to advertisers.
4. Your rights
In Profile and Settings you can view and correct your data, turn off emails and delete your account immediately at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal data, except payment records the law requires us to keep.
5. Storage and security
We keep data while your account is active. Connections are encrypted, passwords are never stored in plain text, and access to data is limited to those who need it.
6. Changes
This policy may be updated. We’ll announce significant changes in advance on the site or by email.
